Jonah is a lifelong learner, creative spirit, and serial hobbyist.
As a paralegal on the Legal Consulting team, he brings a diverse background that spans from journalism to nonprofit work—plus a few surprising stops along the way.
Originally from Oakland, CA, Jonah has called St. Paul, Brooklyn, and Nashville home before settling in Oregon to be closer to family. He has worked as an author, preschool teacher, bartender, and even a "governor" (a.k.a. male nanny). Before joining FP Transitions, he was a settlement services paralegal, helping protect plaintiffs' needs-based benefits in personal injury and wrongful death cases.
He studied political science and cultural musicology at Vassar College and is currently pursuing his Paralegal Certification with Portland Community College. Jonah is excited about the learning opportunities ahead at FP Transitions and values collaboration, innovation, and working alongside a team that’s as passionate about their work as he is.
Outside of work, Jonah is an avid reader, musician, writer, abstract painter, and dedicated concert-goer—aiming for at least one live show a month. He’s also a certified Tennessee state naturalist, a former senior food writer, and, fun fact, once lent his voice to the animated show Archer! When he’s not diving into a new creative project, you’ll likely find him spending time with his two sisters and their kids or adventuring with his beagle-chihuahua, Rosie Pants.
