A desire to help and plenty of energy drive Eric’s success at work and in life.

As a sixth-generation Oregonian, Eric grew up in Southwest Portland. He stayed in the Beaver State for college, earning his Bachelor’s degree at Oregon State University, where he majored in finance and minored in economics.

Between cheering for the Beavers, honing his skills on the banjo, and collecting gear for his outdoor ventures — including a bevy of interesting pocket knives — Eric keeps himself busy. But that’s never stopped him from making a difference in his workplace and in the world.

Early in his career, Eric spent five years at FP Transitions, primarily as a Valuation Analyst and a Senior Enterprise Consultant. During that time, he made his mark supporting hundreds of internal stock transactions as part of our succession management team. He then transitioned to Act-On, a SaaS company where he had the chance to work with both of his younger brothers. There, he was regularly recognized as team leader.

Ultimately, though, Eric found his way back to FPT, drawn by the opportunity to tap into our internal growth channels, our robust external partnership, and the legacy knowledge of our team. Today, he helps our clients achieve sustainable long-term growth, supporting them from onboarding on.

Eric delivers solutions tailored to each client — including bespoke equity-based valuation and best-in-class peer group benchmarking — to help them drive both top and bottom-line performance. His favorite part of the job is helping clients solve even the most challenging entity puzzles.

When he’s not helping our clients and their organizations thrive, Eric dedicates much of his time to Be The Match, the national bone marrow registry, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. He doesn’t just volunteer with these groups; he also regularly advocates for them as a speaker.

Fortunately, Eric does find some downtime for himself, too. He loves exploring new camping with his wife, hitting new breweries, and venturing out to Bend and Hood River with his buddies. You might find Eric fly fishing, playing some basketball, shooting trap, or squeezing in a round of golf.
