Michele Griffin
Business Intelligence Analyst
Michele joins our team as a data analyst, bringing years of carefully developed data expertise — along with a bevy of other skillsets and interests.
When Michele earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Idaho, she was the first woman in her family to get a college degree. Some people would rest on those laurels, but not Michele. In fact, she’s currently working on a Bachelor of Science in data management and data analytics at Western Governors University. What’s more, she plans to head into a Master of Science in data analytics directly afterward.
Michele has a diverse and storied professional background. She was a social worker for the state of Idaho, worked in the wire fraud department for a bank, and owned her own business as a marketing analyst and writer. In her last role at RiskPoint Insurance Advisors, she created and led the IT department and earned her Oregon property and casualty insurance license. There, she had the opportunity to hone her data skills, working with both the company database and third-party data.
So, what led her to FP Transitions? “It was a great opportunity to grow my career as a data analyst,” she explains. Today, she helps to clean and organize our company data, supporting the success of a wide variety of individuals and departments. She loves the problem-solving puzzle of it all. Thanks to her work, our team can not just access the data we need but also trust that it’s accurate.
Michele’s collection of personal endeavors is as robust as her work life. She’s written a travel book and painted murals at Providence Park. She adopted a sea otter at the Oregon Coast Aquarium and purchased land in Scotland. She even makes it down to Disneyland regularly to take advantage of her Annual Pass. And somehow, she still finds time to read, embroider, and plan her next adventure.
