Born in Brooklyn and raised in Los Angeles, David now resides in Austin, Texas, where he has spent most of his working life. David has extensive experience in the financial industry and beyond, spanning across a variety of different roles and companies, making him a valuable, well-rounded addition to our Business Development team.

David's path was molded by many ventures before he entered the financial industry. At age 17, David joined the United States Air Force, where he served on a tactical neutralization team. After completing his service, David started his education at Brooks College of Design to become a menswear designer. His career in menswear was extremely successful, holding positions ranging from store manager to designer. He even worked on one of Calvin Klein’s most prominent campaigns!

After many successful positions designing menswear, David decided to pursue a career in the financial industry and earned his degree in Organizational Leadership from Texas A&M University. David thrived in financial services from early on, earning the title of “top rookie” at Prudential Securities. As a financial advisor, David built and sold a successful RIA firm. After selling his practice, David ran sales regions for AssetMark and Symmetry Partners, and built the training division for financial advisors at Allworth Financial. Even with all that David continues to accomplish in the financial world, his creative passions are still fulfilled by the menswear company that he owns!

David looks forward to applying his multi-faceted background and wide range of experiences to his role as Business Development Specialist here at FP. When it comes to creating strong relationships with our clients, it is abundantly clear that he is the right person for the task. “I joined FPT because of their phenomenal reputation and because the work performed by FTP is so very needed in this industry. Our clients have spent decades helping their clients prepare for a successful retirement. This is our opportunity to help them set up the next phase in their lives!” He is also excited to join what he describes as an extremely talented team of professionals in serving our clients.

In Austin, David and his wife, Tracy, enjoy many different activities outside of work. When they are not competing in dressage or enjoying arena polo with their many horses, David and Tracy are taking advantage of the buzzing food and music scene in Austin. Above all, David’s children are his single greatest achievements—he described them as amazing, kind, creative individuals that are forging their own paths as young adults.
